The Saxons
- Age Group: Year 3 and 4, KS2*
- Duration: 1 hr 40 minutes to 2 hours

In the depths of Ancient Britannia, your children will discover the Germanic tribes who defeated the fearsome Picts. These tribes settled in Britain, becoming known as the Anglo Saxons.
The children will explore the Saxon way of life, learning about their Gods and beliefs before Britannia converts to Christianity. They will also learn about Saxon food, feasting and entertainment, becoming honoured guests of the great King Ethelberht himself! They will be entertained with Saxon legends and will perform one of the greatest Saxon stories ever told – Beowulf.
However, battle soon calls, and the children need to protect Britannia as the Saxons fight to defend themselves against those mysterious invaders – The Vikings.
