The Great Fire of London 1 (1)
The Great Fire of London 2 (1)
  • Age Group: Year 2, KS1 *
  • Duration: 1 hr 40 minutes to 2 hours
  • Capacity: 30 Children (extra children are negotiable)

It’s time for the children to begin their journey through Stuart London. On their way they will discover the Stuart way of life, learn about the nasty plague and hear just how the Great Fire started. They will travel through the busy streets and bump into the baker Thomas Farriner on Pudding Lane. Thomas will tell the children his story and even teach them how to become master bakers.

No time for dawdling though, as the children have an important meeting with Samuel Pepys. The children will travel to his house where Mr Pepys will reveal exactly what happened that night, according to his famous diary. After this, the children will even meet King Charles II himself! Together, the King, Mr Pepys and the children will work together to put out the fire and save London from burning.
